Job Title: Senior Software Developer (Python / QA) Location: Indianola PA15051 Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Education: - Bachelors degree in computer science or a similar technical field.
Python Development 5 Years - Experience with non-interactive / batch scripting.
- Experience building and testing Python packages for distribution.
- Strong understanding of common Python libraries including:
- pandas
- numpy
- scipy
- matplotlib
- seaborn
- openpyxl
- pytest
- Understanding of software system design principles.
- Knowledge of software development best practices.
- Familiarity with Pythonic coding practices.
Quality Assurance (QA) Experience 8 Years (Preferably in a regulated industry) - Experience designing and writing test cases.
- Ability to determine the appropriate level of testing thoroughness.
- Ability to explain the rationale behind test case design.
- Experience writing and executing:
- Manual tests
- Automated tests
Git Experience 3 Years (Preferably using GitHub) - Comfortable using Git CLI commands.
- Experience writing GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of the GitHub Pull Request (PR) review process.
- Knowledge of branching strategies.
IDE Experience 3 Years - (PyCharm VSCode or similar)
- Strong experience with source code editing.
- Experience using debugging tools.
- Ability to perform configuration updates with minimal supervision.
Documentation Preferred (3 5 Years) - Experience writing and reviewing documentation for regulated industries.
- Experience creating QA-related documentation including:
- Coverage reports
- Test summary reports
Additional Preferred Skills - Familiarity with Microsoft collaboration tools:
- SharePoint
- OneDrive
- Microsoft Teams
- Familiarity with Bash commands.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
