Job Summary

Role Overview

You will play a vital role in the creation and maintenance of Automated and Manual testing initiatives. As part of the release cycle you will work closely with developers internal business owners and cross-functional teams to define and improve the overall performance and quality of products.

Key Responsibilities

Testing Strategy & Collaboration

  • Work with System Design Product and Development teams to build testing and validation test plans.
  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to define features and functionality.
  • Use product requirements system engineering requirements and BDD/TDD testing techniques to convert requirements into test cases.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class testing practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and risk assessments during design reviews test plan reviews quality reviews and capability readiness reviews.
Test Planning & Execution
  • Design system-level test plans create test schedules execute manual and automated test cases and provide regular status updates on QA activities.
  • Execute test procedures to validate product features based on test plans functional specifications and system requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Maintain detailed test execution records and track results.
  • Maintain QA metrics and dashboards participate in quality reviews and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Handle multiple concurrent projects and coordinate work among multiple engineers on complex projects.
Required Skills
  • Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Zephyr and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins and understanding of DevOps deployment processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale multi-tiered systems and service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience with third-party cloud-based testing environments.
  • Understanding of modern web application architectures with decoupled modules and independent subsystems.
  • Ability to set priorities and balance multiple objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Basic understanding of networking components such as modems switches routers and firewalls.
Preferred Skills
  • System Engineering or System Integration experience.
  • Telecommunications domain experience.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
  • Understanding of databases with experience in SQL and NoSQL.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of professional experience.
