Job Details:
The Department of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a highly motivated Academic Staff Lecturer in marketing with a specific focus on a qualified individual to teach sales-related courses. This is a full-time renewable nine-month appointment starting in August 2026.
Areas of teaching will include undergraduate courses in marketing and sales. The successful candidate must also have experience or a strong interest in serving as a faculty advisor in student organizations as well as demonstrate potential to be an outstanding teacher sales team coach and active contributor of professional university and community service. Office hours and service commitments are also required.
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester in our undergraduate program. Candidates should have the ability and desire to teach some combination of the following courses: Principles of selling Advanced sales Sales management Sales negotiation Digital marketing and/or Artificial intelligence. The position also includes service such as committee work student organization advising and mentoring students for marketing or sales competitions outside the classroom.
Lecturers at UW-W may be required to teach in a variety of formats including in-person online and/or in a hybrid format. All students faculty and staff are expected to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include but are not limited to Navigate Canvas and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.

The Department of Marketing ( is one of the seven departments in the College of Business and Economics ( There are 15 full-time faculty and staff members supporting approximately 800 undergraduate majors minors and certificates with emphases in professional sales digital marketing and artificial intelligence and sports and experiential marketing. The Department also hosts the internationally recognized UW-Whitewater Institute for Sales Excellence and is a full member of the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA). The collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has held or shared the AMA International Chapter of the Year for 14 consecutive years and the Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) chapter has a strong sales competition presence. The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is the largest AACSB-accredited business school in the state of Wisconsin. The College enrolls approximately 3800 business undergraduate students and offers 15 majors and 26 emphases. Nearly 1000 graduate students are enrolled in a breadth of online and on-campus programs.
Compensation:
The minimum starting salary for this position will be $70000 candidates can expect a salary commensurate with the candidates education related experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in marketing Sales or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution
5 years of professional marketing/sales experience
Ability and desire to be a student organization advisor or sales team coach to help students prepare for marketing/sales competitions
Prior teaching and/or sales training experience
Willingness and ability to be an active participant in the following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training drills
Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic cultural and ethnic backgrounds
