Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20 Pounds

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government facilities transit areas and surrounding perimeters; document observations and report irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; provide assistance with de-escalation notifications and coordination with onsite personnel and public authorities as needed.
• Monitor access points and public areas help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive activity and verify credentials or permissions when required by post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols incidents and administrative activities; maintain logs and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and location contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
