Worley is seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead the successful delivery of large-scale power generation construction projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who thrives in complex project environments and understands how to align field execution with strategic project objectives.

You will join a collaborative team of industry experts and play a critical role in delivering essential energy infrastructure. Your leadership will help ensure projects are executed safely efficiently and in alignment with client expectations and contractual commitments.

You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight across construction operations to ensure projects are completed on schedule within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. This role requires deep experience in construction management project delivery systems and large-scale power generation facilities including cogeneration and other power technologies.

You will work closely with project leadership engineering teams and client stakeholders to translate project objectives into effective construction strategies. By building strong teams managing complex field operations and fostering collaboration across disciplines you will help drive successful project outcomes.

Purpose of the Role

Play an integral role in leading construction delivery for major power generation projects while ensuring safe high-quality and cost-effective execution.

You will be responsible for directing construction strategy and field execution across major capital projects ensuring alignment with project objectives contract requirements and Worleys operational standards. The Construction Director provides leadership for complex construction programs while supporting long-range planning and operational performance across the project lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the construction execution strategy for a major power generation project or multiple complex programs simultaneously.
• Provide overall direction and project management related to construction activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and implement construction plans methodologies and schedules aligned with project objectives and client expectations.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule and within or below budget while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor project construction leadership including construction managers superintendents and field supervisors.
• Coordinate closely with engineering procurement project controls and construction teams to support integrated project delivery.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer objectives contract terms and corporate policies to guide decision-making and execution strategies.
• Lead complex problem-solving efforts and develop practical solutions to technical and operational challenges.
• Oversee workforce planning contractor performance and resource allocation to optimize field productivity and project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards quality requirements and environmental regulations across all construction activities.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership clients and project stakeholders regarding project progress risks and opportunities.
• Influence and guide strategic decisions that impact project performance and business outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of construction systems processes and tools across the organization.
