Job Title: Paint Automation Engineer

Job Description: Key words: Paint Automation ABB Mechanical Design
The Paint Automation Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating developing and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments validation activities and change this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems develop & execute objectives & have the ability to meet company objectives within the time lines specifically related to your assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting repairing replacing or modifying paint automation/robotic system components.
- Program and integrate ABB Robots and Cobot systems.
- Complete and support Automation Product Builds.
- Support Product Design for Automated work cell components and vision systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
- Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems.
- Develop and design hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications such as End of Arm tooling and fixtures.
- Train technicians and operators on products processes and equipment.
- Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment
Qualifications/Requirements
- B.S in Engineering Technical Practice or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering quality or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
- ABB Robot/Cobot Programming Capabilities.
- Electrical experience is a plus
- Knowledge of HMI software
- Previous experience with pneumatics
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Capability to work in teams
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
- CAD Solid Works proficiency.
