Job Description:
This is a temporary position expected to last one year. 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
Examples of Work
- Review and verify financial documents for accuracy completeness and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Process invoices for payment including coding and data entry
- Review and process employee reimbursements (ERDs) and travel-related documents for payment.
- Prepare and enter journal entries to record accounting adjustments
- Process deposits including coding and data entry
- Provide customer service to agency staff by responding to routine inquiries related to accounting processes and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall function of the finance team.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or vocational education in accounting finance business administration or related field OR experience performing accounting functions including interpreting and analyzing financial data.
Other: Regular and reliable onsite attendance is required. **NRGC employees are prohibited from gambling or placing a wager in any establishment licensed by the Commission.**
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong analytical skills and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
