Job Summary

Army Reserve Light Cavalry. To deploy personnel in Support of Ops both overseas and in the UK with Regular units as individuals and as contingents.

Command functional operation of SHQ when deployed and in co-ord SHQ routine maint and admin whilst in Barracks. Step up SSM in their absence.

Responsibilities 1. Maintain currency in Signals/role competencies and qualifications. 2. Be the Signals Army Reserve SME that provides D&G and instruction on Sqn communication procedures and equipment. 3. Work closely with the Sqn BSM PSI to produce/write and execute effective Comms Plans. 4. Assist the Sqn CoC in the planning of Sqn Training and overall Trg Programme. 5. Ensure that SHQ is correctly equipped to complete its functions and that all equipment is used stored deployed and maintained correctly. 6. Assist the Sqn BSM PSI to complete all mandatory Signals checks and inspections. 7. 1RO for all Cpls and below within SHQ; setting Pers Objs with SPs at the start of RPs deliver MPARs and write timely and accurate ARs. 8. Conduct role related duties and additional duties as directed by Sqn OC/CoC.
