Job Summary

We areseeking an experienced Software Development Engineer I to join our team.

You should have a passion for technology and using it to solve business problems in a timely and reliable manner. Ability to work within a cross-functional Agile team to build and enhance core product/platform components in an iterative way. Close collaboration with product owners QA and other engineering functions to deliver well-tested maintainable solutions.

In this role you learn and apply professional engineering concepts. Work is reviewed periodically and you typically receive general instruction on new assignments while steadily increasing ownership and independence.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer Iwho will:

Design & Development (Core Components): Assist in designing developing and maintaining core platform capabilities (services APIs data access layers and shared components) following established engineering standards
Integrations & Interfaces: Implement and support integrations with internal/external systems using web services and APIs (REST/SOAP as applicable) ensuring reliability and clear interface contracts. (Adapted to CORE context from yourABC pattern; CORE emphasis on shared platform interfaces.)
Testing & Quality: Contributeto unit testing component testing and automation practices; partner closely with QA to ensure fixes/features are testable and meet acceptance criteria
Debugging & Troubleshooting: Debug and fix software issues under guidance; participate in root-cause analysis and implement preventive improvements over time
Agile Delivery: Actively participatein sprint ceremonies estimation and team design discussions; communicate progress risks and blockers early
Operational Support: Work withsupport/implementation teams to investigate and resolve application issues in lower environments and production as needed following team runbooks and escalation paths
Collaboration & Growth: Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices (code reviews secure coding performance considerations and maintainability). Gradually take ownership of small-to-medium scoped tasks/features

Is this opportunity right for you We are looking for candidates who:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
2 years of software development experience
Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming data structures and debugging
Experience in one or more of the following (depending on CORE team stack):
- Backend: C#/.NET building services and APIs
- Databases: MS SQL Server (or equivalent RDBMS) query tuning basics
- Web Services: REST APIs JSON; familiarity with IIS/ is a plus (where applicable)
Familiarity with modern engineering practices
- Version control (Git) code reviews CI/CD concepts
- Unit testing frameworks and test-driven habits
- Agile/Scrum working model
Nice to have (CORE-friendly): cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) containers (Docker/Kubernetes) observability basics (logs/metrics/traces) performance tuning ElasticSearch familiarity (if used by the product area)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively within a team environment
