Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gate Driver in Baldwinsville NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents and communicate clearly with onsite teams. This is a driving post and requires a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors drivers and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Operate an access control post by verifying identification issuing and collecting visitor badges maintaining visitor and contractor logs and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
- Perform entry and exit screening for personnel vehicles and shipments as required including monitoring gates and dock access points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or removal of materials.
- Monitor alarms cameras and communication channels and report unusual activity policy violations and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and conduct regular and random patrols of entrances staging areas and the perimeter as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
