CNC Machinist, Tool Room Tech 1st Shift

Shift Details: Monday Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement supply chain management quality assurance employee safety and engagement and environmental commitment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up operate and program Tool Room equipment including CNC Mills CNC Lathe saw manual mill and lathes.

• Set up and operate surface and cylindrical grinders.

• Manufacture parts and components to print specifications using manual and CNC machinery.

• Clean evaluate maintain repair and convert injection molds.

• Work safely and maintain molds and equipment to operate as designed.

• Maintain service records in compliance with FDA & ISO standards.

• Determine root cause when addressing major tool damage / failure. Report findings to the Tool Room Lead.

Qualifications

• Machinist Degree preferred or 2 years of relevant experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints

• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Strong understanding of metal properties and machining processes

• Good mathematical and analytical skills

• Proven experience in a tool room or similar environment

• Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometers calipers) accurately

• Knowledge of CNC programming and operation

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility

• Maintains appropriate licenses training and certifications

• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues

• May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments

• Adheres to all quality guidelines

• Works with limited supervision

• Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor

• May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members

Anticipated hourly range: $26.30 per hour - $37.50 per hour
