The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Division of Facilities Services is looking for a Facilities Manager 2 to help usKeep Alaska Moving!


What you will be doing:
Facilities Manager 2 in the Division of Facilities Services provides development direction scoping planning and project management functions to support facilities management maintenance operations new construction/renovation and onsite tenant coordination activities involved in the management of facilities. The Facility Manager 2 is an advanced journey-level position responsible for independent facility planning and management for assigned facilities. This Facilities Manager 2 position provides broad input to the plans and objectives for all facilities within the Division of Facilities Services particularly the Juneau Hub portfolio. The position interacts and works with diverse personnel throughout all state agencies. This position is required to respond to a major disaster to assist with Incident Command System (ICS) duties such as supporting an operations center to organize facility assessments and repairs subsequent to major disaster events (earthquakes tsunamis extreme weather etc.). Ideally be certified or working toward certification as a project management professional (PMP) and have working knowledge of applying Lean Six Sigma techniques and concepts.
