Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrolman in Hattiesburg MS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech media and telecom location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with strong communication and customer service document activity and support site operations with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients employees and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures policies and post orders including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices common areas parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor entry requirements issue and/or check badges when assigned and direct visitors to appropriate destinations in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents alarms and service requests in a calm problem-solving manner requesting assistance from Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as needed.
- Document patrols incidents and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and incoming personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
