Job Description
We are looking to hire multiple intermittent hourly positions to provide Custodial support during regular staff absences.
The Facilities department has an outstanding opportunity for multiple intermittent on-call Custodians to join their team.
The custodians play an essential role in maintaining the buildings of the UW Tacoma Campus and supporting a learning environment that promotes health safety and integrity. These positions provide regular building maintenance function by performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities for the entire campus including restrooms classrooms laboratories student gathering spaces auditoriums offices and conference rooms. The custodian positions also serve as a role model for students by displaying a professional courteous and helpful nature.
These hourly intermittent positions are considered essential and will be expected to continue to report to work if the University suspends operations. The positions will have varied hours between 1st shift (3:30 am to 12:00 pm) Day shift (7:30 am to 4:00 pm) and 2nd shift (12:00 pm to 8:30 pm) and include event cleaning.
