Job Description
Summary
The Real Time Engineering Manager at PROPWR plays a crucial role in the engineering department. The ideal candidate will lead The PWRLIVE Center development implementation and escalation protocols focused on supporting field operations for our deployments. The PWRLIVE Center leverages real time data to provide actionable insights supporting operations to deliver on highly reliable and available installations. An appetite for data analytics along with understanding of operational challenges in the field to troubleshoot and maintain equipment is crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead development implementation and operation of The PWRLIVE Center.
- Develop milestones and track progress to achieve objectives.
- Build RTE team to support field operations by leveraging remote monitoring data analytics and digital tools.
- Own development of protocols for RTE and PWRLIVE Center to proactively support field operations.
- Build RTE processes guides and a platform for leveraging historical issues to serve as quick access for operations enabling quick access to resolutions and improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate and support development of documentation on a system and sub-system level for field support based upon historical trends and analytics trending data.
- Advanced and general support for turbines recips and balance of plant gear in multi-disciplinary format
- Troubleshooting guides
- Historical data and analytics
- Feed of information to asset integrity team
- Provide real time engineering and troubleshooting of equipment operating in-field with Field Engineering Team. Track and report on equipment and site trends to improve reliability and performance.
- Interact with vendors and third-party suppliers.
- Attentive in providing front end and proactive intervention for power generation equipment and balance of plant systems.
- Act as supervisor direct report for assigned personnel (i.e. performance management corrective action training defining daily priorities creating work schedules etc.)
- Oversee the hiring of assigned personnel (i.e. collaborate with Human Resources recruiters perform interviews select qualified talent etc.)
- Maintain compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions safety meetings and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering.
- 3-years experience leading a team leveraging remote monitoring tools and solutions on power generation and rotating equipment.
- 3-years experience in field operations preferably in the Power Generation field.
- Detail oriented process driven and methodical.
- Familiar with Cat G3520 Recip Generator Packages.
- Familiar with Solar SMT Turbine Generator Packages.
- Familiar with electrical controls and gas interfaces.
- Familiar with power distribution equipment and power transformation.
- Familiar with and/or supported AC systems up to 15kV and DC systems up to 120V.
- Capable of performing root cause analysis and providing corrective actions.
- Experience with visualization platforms such as PowerBI Grafana and Sophia platforms.
- Experience with multi-gen controller visualization platforms.
- Experience working in a startup environment and building a team.
- A subject matter expert in multiple disciplines with a keen understanding and appreciation for field operations challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess extreme sense of ownership and highly collaborative.
- Willing to train team members and dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Responsive action oriented and agile in decision making.
