As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Patrol Driver in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a driving post you will greet staff and visitors verify credentials issue badges and manage entry points while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Control entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorization issuing and collecting visitor credentials maintaining access logs and directing staff visitors and vendors to proper check-in areas.
• Monitor cameras alarms and access control systems and document unusual activity policy violations and maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas entrances and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• COLA: DPSS/DHS Tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations are required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
