Job Summary
Responsible for Application Engineering activities for Conveyor Products. The role involves implementing the segments strategy while maintaining balance between strategic initiatives and operational tasks with a special focus on providing on-site support and troubleshooting applications for our main customer in Arizona.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Initiate and supervise implementation of related Application Engineering activities (Customer projects technical changes quality improvements)
- Conduct field inspections root cause analysis and troubleshooting for Conveyor Products
- Safeguards committed standards of quality guidelines (internal and external) quality awareness customer quality targets and observes customer care commitments
- Segment strategy development and execution with their area of responsibility including deployment to and through their teams.
- Analyze the market and technology and provide input to business strategies
- Aligns with Product Development and Product Management of requirements and needs for the region
- Attends strategic meetings with customers conferences etc. to provide technical input or present the best engineered solution as possible
- Selects and suggests best suited product specification for the application
Qualifications :
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Mechanical Engineering(preferred) or related technical degree.
- 2 years of experience in application engineering or a comparable function in the mining industry
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong MS Office suite experience (Excel and PPT)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Up to 50% travel to customer sites for application support project execution and field troubleshooting
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- 5 years of Mining Industry experience
- Experience with industrial conveyor systems
- Experience in direct customer facing roles
