Southeastern Louisiana Universitys Department of Visual Art Design invites applications for an Instructor of Digital Media and Lens-Based Practice position to begin on August 11 2026. Motivated applicants with a practice in digital media and/or a lens-based practice and with expertise in teaching courses in those areas are encouraged to apply.
Primary responsibilities consist of teaching undergraduate art studio courses in areas such as; photography digital media animation foundations or other classes as assigned. The duties include but are not limited to curriculum development research in creative activity academic advisement of students and performing university service as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art or a Master of Fine Arts in a relevant area of research is required by the hire date.
Candidates must have at least 18 graduate credit hours in Photography or Digital media.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to teach undergraduate art courses including photography and digital media.
Ability to relate to students and colleagues in a university environment.
Ability to conduct research in a creative activity or studio practice.
