Heres what youll be up to

As a Planning Information Officer within the City Planning Team your role you will be to:

  • maintain accurate and uptodate information within our planning and property database systems
  • prepare review and dispatch 10.7 Planning Certificates in line with legislative and organisational requirements
  • provide highquality customer service for basic planning enquiries
  • assist with a range of administrative and office support tasks supporting team members

What are we looking for

We are looking for someone that has experience using Council property databases and systems as well as a demonstrated understanding of NSW planning legislation. You may be an experienced planning information officer or someone starting out in your planning career.

As a planning information officer in the City Planning team we are looking for someone who has the following skills:

  • Diploma in Town Planning or equivalent or significant experience in land coding and signing 10.7 Planning Certificates
  • Demonstrated experience using databases (e.g. Technology One Property GIS sharepoint etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of zoningand planning legislation
  • Ability to prioritise workand meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Having an eye for detail highly organised and proactive with their work

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.
