Phonics Teaching Assistant Bexley April 2026

A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Bexley is seeking a dedicated Phonics Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026. Phonics Teaching Assistant Whats on Offer:

  • Permanent role starting in April 2026
  • 36 hours per week term-time only
  • Salary aligned with Bexley06 equating to approximately 25600 per annum pro rata
  • Work closely with experienced teachers and literacy leaders
  • Excellent experience for graduates considering teacher training or a PGCE

Phonics Teaching Assistant The Role:

  • Support the delivery of daily phonics lessons across EYFS and KS1.
  • Deliver targeted interventions for pupils who require additional support with reading and phonics.
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to strengthen decoding blending and pronunciation skills.
  • Assist teachers with preparing phonics resources and structured literacy activities.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers and the SEN team.
  • Encourage a positive attitude towards reading and build pupils confidence with early literacy.

Phonics Teaching Assistant Who Were Looking For:
