What Youll Do

Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the GBT mid and back-office operations
Build and maintain a microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot
Implement and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL
Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure particularly ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS)
Manage EC2 instances and related AWS services for optimal performance
Provide application support troubleshooting and performance optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Participate in code reviews system design discussions and technical documentation
Monitor system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability
Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations as needed

What Were Looking For

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 7 years of professional Java development experience
Strong expertise in Java 8 and object-oriented programming principles
Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework and Spring ecosystem
Proficient in PostgreSQL database design optimization and management
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services particularly EC2 and ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS)
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Experience in application support and production troubleshooting
Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes/OpenShift)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the travel industry or TMC operations
Knowledge of additional AWS services (RDS Lambda S3 etc.)
Experience with message queuing systems (RabbitMQ Apache Kafka)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana)
Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Must be willing and able to work on 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends as required.
Must be willing to work from the Bangalore office for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Application Support & Maintenance:

Provide L2/L3 application support for Java-based GBT mid and back office systems
Monitor system health performance metrics and proactively identify potential issues
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents bugs and performance bottlenecks
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring
