The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $655000-$813723; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay hiring bonuses or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.
The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is recognized as a top integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care translational research and professional training in all aspects of heart and vascular disease. Guided by a multi-disciplinary approach researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program which focuses on delivering the latest knowledge and cutting-edge care to patients. Specifically research at KCVI seeks to improve patient outcomes by achieving earlier diagnosis of disease more accurate monitoring of its progression and tailoring therapy to the molecular basis of disease.
Function/Duties of Position
The successful candidate will serve as a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist in the Knight Cardiovascular Institute. This position will provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching research patient care outreach and public service.
Clinical:
- Procedures in the EP lab inpatient consults managing the inpatient EP service in conjunction with APPs and fellows EP clinic supervising device clinic and reading ECGs and ambulatory monitors as well as developing and growing specific areas of clinical interest.
- Additionally there will be outreach opportunities as assigned by the chiefs of EP and cardiology. This position will also share in the EP call coverage as well as the teaching of EP and cardiology fellows residents and medical students.
Research:
- Developinvestigative interests
- Administrative support is available for grant submission financial management and clinical trials support. Please share your research interests during the interview process.
Education:
- OHSU is a teaching institution and as a faculty member you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to students residents fellows and staff. The Graduate Program Director will provide any official assignments. The chief educational focus in the EP section is the EP our two year program the total of 3 fellows rotate between the university and the VA and finish as complete electrophysiologists.
Administration:
- Administrative duties may be assigned to you in support of Institute or section initiatives faculty development and/or other activities as determined necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Active Oregon Medical License at time of hire.
- Board Certification in Cardiology; Board Certified/Eligible in Electrophysiology
- 5 years post-fellowship experience in Electrophysiology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior expereince working in an academic health facility preferred.
