We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer / Data Scientist with a strong Python background and proven experience in AI-driven solutions. This role combines data engineering expertise with analytical and modeling capabilities. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines and developing AI/ML and agent-based solutions leveraging LLM technologies. You will join the Transaction Monitoring area within the Anti-Financial Crime Division at one of our UK banking clients contributing to advanced analytics and intelligent automation initiatives.
Your tasks
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines
- Build and optimize AI/ML models
- Develop agent-based solutions using modern Agentic AI frameworks
- Work with LLM and Generative AI solutions (prompting orchestration evaluation)
- Process and transform large datasets using distributed computing frameworks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Your skills
- Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in similar roles
- Very good knowledge of Python 3.x
- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and AI agent development
- Experience with GCP VertexAI Google ADK
- Knowledge of LLM and Generative AI (prompt engineering orchestration evaluation)
- Experience with PySpark and distributed data processing
- Practical experience within the Big Data ecosystem
- Experience in developing analytical or alerting models
- Solid understanding of data pipelines and scalable data architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- English level B2
