The Director of Student Services plays a critical leadership role in ensuring every student at New Story Schools in Pennsylvania receives high quality compliant and student-centered special education services. This role connects our mission to daily practice by strengthening systems supporting school leaders and ensuring programs meet the highest standards of excellence and accountability.
You will guide compliance standardization and continuous improvement across multiple school locations. Your leadership will directly impact student outcomes family partnerships and post-secondary success.
What Youll Need
Masters degree in Education with a PA Special Education teaching certificate or Supervisor of Special Education certificate
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the special education system
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in an educational setting
Deep knowledge of federal and Pennsylvania special education laws regulations and compliance requirements
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills with the ability to build relationships across schools and communities
What Youll Do
Ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws PA Department of Education regulations and Bureau of Special Education requirements across all locations
Provide leadership guidance and supervision to school administrators while standardizing practices across regions
Monitor program effectiveness through data collection transition indicators audits and reporting to drive continuous improvement
Lead professional development on evidence-based transition practices IEP development MTSS and behavior supports
Serve as a key liaison between schools families districts and external agencies to support seamless services and post-secondary planning
