Our Quality Control Laboratory is looking for a Deputy Laboratory Manager to support the Laboratory Manager in handling the technical administrative and managerial activities of the department which includes approximately 25 employees working day or shift schedules.
Your responsibilities:
- Implement maintain and develop analytical methods for the control of raw materials inprocess products and finished products.
- Perform and document analytical tests on products and materials in the plant in order to provide other departments with information regarding the nature quality and/or compliance of these products and materials.
- Ensure the smooth operation of processes and the safety of our facilities through the automatic online analyzers installed on site (around 700). Manage this team of experts.
- Provide expert support to the production organization coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues related to materials product specifications and production operations affecting quality.
- Demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures and maintain conditions that ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Be able to inspect/evaluate monitor investigate and/or recommend corrective actions; perform trend analyses; document compliance with standards; carry out technical work; design and implement programs; and report on industrial hygiene matters.
- Comply with the laboratorys functional budget.
- Define necessary investments to maintain and improve laboratory activities.
- Manage projects with strict deadlines and budget requirements.
Your profile:
- You hold a Masters degree in Chemistry.
- You have strong management and communication skills.
- You are capable of ensuring an effective and professional interface at all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
- You have a strong interest in analytical chemistry.
- Living within a 30minute radius of the JemeppeSurSambre site is an asset.
