Purpose of the position:
As part of the EMEA Accounting COE the role will support the Hungary Accounting Supervisor to deliver the statutory and management accounting responsibilities for the Ball Hungary businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of the appropriate journals to close off the Ball Hungary balance sheet and SG&A costs each month.
- Review of payment application (invoices contracts and approval documents).
- Input purchase invoices (goods services assets expense report).
- Preparation of accounting statement and tax returns.
- Fixed asset supervision and count.
- Assemble the monthly balance sheet file and own the balance sheet process preparing the Ball Hungary balance sheet reconciliations accurately and timely ensuring group timelines are adhered to.
- Work to ensure queries and open items on balance sheet accounts are followed up in a timely manner proactively arranging meetings to resolve issues with the relevant business contacts.
- Follow-up prepayment and open purchase order with purchase department reconciliation of account payable with supplier.
- Preparation position related management reporting (eg. supplier balance aging balance based on extract from system).
- Oversee monthly intercompany reconciliations ensuring adherence to global policy.
- Provide support to the forecast and budget process carried out at group defined time periods throughout the year.
- Provide support to the Hungary Accounting Supervisor for statutory reporting preparing analysis as required.
What we are looking for
- Accounting or other financial degree.
- At least 3 years of working experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in both Hungarian and English.
- Working knowledge of SAP FI module.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical thinking and good time management.
- Attention to details.
