Heres how a Purchasing Administrator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. within Edmonton Industrial Management contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Supports the Procurement team in an administrative role.
- Assists with preparation and distribution of appropriate purchase contract documents (e.g. Major Purchase Orders (MPO) rental / lease agreements Independent Contractor Agreements (ICA) and service contracts) on behalf of the department.
- Proactively expedites and follows up on all aspects of the contract process with internal and external customers and tracks contract discrepancies documentation and certificates outstanding or overdue contracts.
- Develops and maintains a well-organized electronic filing system.
- Creates and maintains templates for forms letters tracking spreadsheets etc.
- Develops and maintains customer-focused working relationships with suppliers internal and external customers and projects.
- Identifies evaluates and escalates potential risks that could affect project deliverables.
- Assists with general administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative capacity; experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma or certificate in office administration program is considered an asset.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to carry out several tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and contract management is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-management skills to plan organize and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
