About the Role

As Teacher of Male PE you will teach Physical Education across KS3KS5 with the potential to contribute to GCSE PE / BTEC Sport (and A-Level where offered) depending on experience and timetable.

You will deliver a well-structured programme that develops:

  • High-quality practical teaching that builds skill confidence and enjoyment

  • Positive attitudes to fitness health and lifelong participation

  • Strong routines and high expectations for effort teamwork and sportsmanship

  • Leadership and resilience through competitive and non-competitive sport

  • Exam confidence where applicable through modelling deliberate practice and structured feedback

You will play an active role in the co-curricular life of the school contributing to fixtures training sessions trips and wider enrichment helping to maintain a strong sporting culture and broad participation.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a degree in PE / Sports Science or a closely related subject

  • Hold QTS (e.g. PGCE School Direct) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

  • Have experience teaching across relevant key stages and supporting sporting development

  • Be confident contributing to co-curricular sport fixtures and school teams

  • Deliver engaging well-structured lessons with high expectations

  • Contribute positively to departmental planning and wider school life

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
