Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with Databricks experience to join our data engineering team supporting enterprise data platforms. The candidate will assist in building scalable data pipelines processing large datasets and supporting analytics solutions using Databricks and cloud technologies.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who have hands-on experience with Databricks Spark Python and SQL and are eager to work in a fast-paced data environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
Work with large datasets to perform data transformation ingestion and processing.
Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Collaborate with data architects analysts and engineers to deliver scalable data solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and ETL processes.
Ensure data quality integrity and performance optimization.
Support data integration with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Document data processes and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

1 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data technologies.
Hands-on experience with Databricks.
Strong knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is preferred.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science or related field.
Experience with Delta Lake Spark Streaming or data lake architecture.
Exposure to Git CI/CD pipelines or Agile development.

Additional Requirements

Local candidates to Dallas / Plano preferred.
Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
