Azure Cloud Engineer

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead the design implementation and optimization of a comprehensive Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker who can handle end-to-end cloud lifecycles while maintaining high-performance standards in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design: Design and deploy robust scalable and secure Azure infrastructure solutions covering the full spectrum of Azure services (IaaS PaaS and SaaS).

Implementation: Execute the end-to-end setup of Virtual Networks Azure Active Directory Storage Accounts Resource Groups AVD LOGIC APPS INTEGRATION APPLICATION GATEWAYS FIREWALLS FRONTDOOR TRAFFIC MANAGER DATABRICKS DATAWAREHOUSE SYNAPSE ANALYTICS DATA FACTORY/SPARK CLUSTER/POOL POSTGRE SQL BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF KUBERNETES AZURE OPEN AI FOUNDRY

OS Administration: Provide expert-level administration for various operating systems (Windows and Linux) ensuring seamless integration with cloud environments.

Automation: Utilize programming and scripting to automate repetitive tasks deployments and infrastructure as code (IaC).Basic understanding of Terraform BICEP.

Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols and monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities ensuring alignment with organizational standards.

Performance Tuning: Monitor system health and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and high availability.

Required Qualifications

Cloud Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure.

Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge of the entire Azure feature set including but not limited toAzure SQL App Services Networking (Route Tables NSG) and Governance.

OS Knowledge: Extensive experience in the administration and troubleshooting of diverse operating systems.

Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash or C#).

Onsite Commitment: Ability to work from the Queens NY office at least 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

Sector Experience: Prior experience working with or for government agencies or in highly regulated environments.

Certifications: Relevant Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-305: Solutions Architect Expert or AZ-104: Administrator Associate).
