Job Duration: 3 Months Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect to design and drive the next generation of AI powered conversational experiences at Meta.
In this role you will focus on building and scaling conversational agents Manus style AI assistants and Conversation with Data capabilities that help people and businesses interact with Metas products in natural intelligent and data driven ways.
You will own the end-to-end architecture from high level patterns to platform level integrations while collaborating closely with product engineering data science and UX teams.

Key responsibilities:

Architect conversational AI solutions
Define reference architectures and design patterns for conversational agents multi turn dialogue systems and task-oriented assistants (including Manus style AI agents).
Design Conversation with Data experiences that allow users to query summarize and act on internal or external datasets through natural language.
Drive platform and integration strategy
Architect scalable secure and low latency services for large scale conversational AI workloads (LLM orchestration RAG tool calling memory personalization).
Integrate with Metas core platforms (messaging ads business tools data stacks) and third-party systems to deliver seamless conversational experiences.
Lead technical design and standards
Own architecture decisions for conversational AI services including model selection routing caching observability and fallback strategies.
Establish best practices for prompts tooling evaluation frameworks and safety guardrails across conversational agents.
Collaborate with cross functional teams
Partner with product managers to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps for conversational AI and Conversation with Data features.
Work with data scientists and ML engineers to design training fine tuning and evaluation pipelines for dialogue models and retrieval systems.
Ensure reliability performance and governance
Design for high availability low latency and cost-efficient scaling of conversational AI workloads.
Implement monitoring logging and A/B experimentation frameworks to continuously improve quality safety and user satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
8 years of experience in software engineering systems architecture or AI/ML engineering.
4 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying production AI/ML systems preferably with LLMs dialogue systems or conversational agents.
Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS GCP or Metas internal infrastructure).
Microservices APIs and distributed systems.
Python Java or similar languages.
Demonstrated ability to lead architecture discussions present technical designs to senior stakeholders and influence cross team decisions.

Preferred qualifications

Experience building or operating enterprise grade conversational assistants chatbots or AI powered agents at scale.
Hands on experience with RAG tool using agents multi agent systems and Conversation with Data patterns.
Familiarity with Manus style AI assistants or similar agent frameworks (e.g. Auto GPT like patterns agent tool orchestration).
Knowledge of safety moderation and compliance requirements for public facing conversational AI.
Experience working in fast paced product environments such as Meta Google or other large scale consumer platforms.
