Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Application Security Architect & Engineer to join a dedicated team focused on enhancing security across application development and deployment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with application teams to embed security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) promote secure coding practices and assist with vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide security guidance and best practices to development and operations teams.
Evaluate software architecture for security risks and alignment with DevSecOps principles.
Conduct source code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
Utilize security testing tools like SAST DAST and SIEM systems to manage vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices particularly in cloud environments.

Required Technical Skills:

5 years in application security
Proficiency in SIEM IDS/IPS EDR and security tools (e.g. Splunk Rapid7 Tenable)
Experience with AWS security controls and cloud best practices
Knowledge of secure coding standards and vulnerability assessment methodologies
Strong understanding of network protocols and threat vectors
