Job Summary

PGG Wrightson Seeds is part of the global DLF Group servicing both New Zealand and international markets. We work across the entire seed journey from research and development through to production processing and on-farm support supplying high-quality seed to arable growers livestock producers and food and feed manufacturers.

We are one of New Zealands leading seed and grain processors and are now seeking a motivated Lab Technician. This role is Fixed Term opportunity 30 hours a week.

This role involves supporting a wide range of field nursery and seedprocessing activities throughout the season. No two days are the same youll be involved in everything from planting trials to harvesting and seed cleaning.

Key Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Trial seed packaging
Trial planting and thinning
Hand pollinating
Seed crop roguing and detasseling
Trial and nursery harvesting
Nursery seed lot shelling and cleaning
Shelling and cleaning of small production seed lots
Trial grain sample analysis
