We are seeking a Credit Control & Expenses Assistant to join the Finance team within our Central Operations division.

The Role
Credit Control -Working with the Credit control manager tomonitorthe sales ledger to ensuretimelycollection ofoutstanding debts
- Chase overdue invoices via email and telephone in a professional and courteous manner
- Allocateclientpayments accurately and resolve payment discrepancies
- Reconcileclientaccounts and investigate queries
- Maintainaccuraterecords ofclientcommunications
- Support credit risk assessments and escalation of overdue accounts where necessary
- Partnering with Business Unit coordinators andassistingin their invoice processes
Expensesand credit cards-Working with the Global office manager- tomonitorcredit cards and expenses
- Resolve queries with employeesregardingexpense submissionsmaking sureexpense claimsarein line with company policy
- Check receipts VAT treatment and approvals for accuracy and compliance
- Post expenses into the accounting system andassistwith expense reporting
- Support improvements to expense processes and controls
- Maintainaccuraterecords ofemployee communication
Finance Support
- Cover for finance assistant
- Assistwith month-end close activities including reconciliations
- Support audits by providing documentation and explanations when
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider Finance team as needed
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Thequalifications and experienceto perform this role successfully are:
- Provenexperience in a similar role
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills particularly when chasing payments
- Good working knowledge of Exceland Salesforce
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiencyin English and in MS Office.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
The role will be based in our Manchester office. All candidates must have permission to work in the United Kingdom by the startof their employment.
