Our Engineers provide support within an operational environment driving product enhancement process optimization and operational efficiency across the entire product lifecycle which may include quality engineering purchased product engineering advanced manufacturing and component and systems engineering.
Depending on the level and experience the Engineers may perform routine engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects of a general nature and limited scope applying standard mathematical physical science and/or engineering technologies. Higher level roles may have responsibility for performing and coordinating design development evaluation analysis and/or quality control functions on advanced and complex engineering projects often independently determining and developing solutions to technical problems while applying advanced mathematical physical science and engineering technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs software design coding debugging testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
- Applies standard software engineering discipline processes and tools to complete various project subtasks.
- Interacts with customers in all phases of software development lifecycle.
- Analyzes existing information systems and applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
- Develops software development skills in a collaborative/team environment.
- Generates software documentation and performs requirements-based verification and validation testing of software to assure all requirements are met.
- Develops application specifications conversion and migration designs; supports maintenance of applications as needed.
You Must Have
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or other equivalent ABET accredited Engineering program.
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain if required for position a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
