Job Summary

We have a Technical Specialist Vacancy in the Fisheries Biodiversity & Geomorphology (FBG) team in the Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire Area . This is responsible for working hard to create a better place by protecting and enhancing our diverse habitats and wildlife. With respect to our LNA Fisheries like the rest of the UK fisheries are under a wide range of pressures with increasing cumulative pressure thats exacerbated by climate change.

As the Fisheries Technical Specialist in the team you will lead and co-ordinate our Fisheries input into a wide range of Environment Agency activities including Water Company planning FCRM programmes environmental permitting Environment Programme and Water Framework Directive activities.

Working with a wide range of teams both at a local and National level as well as external partners you will proactively identify and influence opportunities to deliver Fisheries benefits. You will provide specialist input into projects and programmes managed by others.

You will provide technical leadership and support to colleagues as well as support for the Team Leader on technical direction and priorities.

Your ability to build close working relationships in and outside of the team will be key.
