Description:

• Provide technical expertise with technologies including Oracle Servers Oracle 19C multi-tenant database/Oracle Oracle on AWS - RDS
  
• Active data guard Oracle Enterprise cloud control (OEM CC) Oracle Golden Gate Informatica / Cognos
  
• Produce daily monitoring scripts for entire stack of DTE databases and reviewing them for any potential issues and pro-actively fixing them to keep things running smoothly.
  
• Operate and administer the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization performance tuning backup and recovery
  
• Provide installation administration fine-tuning and support for SAP Business objects Cognos BI Informatica PowerCenter Oracle Goldengate and Oracle Active data guard
  
• Assist with any performance/functionality issues arising due to recent releases of code to production and proactively implement changes to avoid recurrence
  
• Create physical database designs
  
• Operate and administer the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization performance tuning backup and recovery
  
• Develop and maintain data design models database schemas and scripts technical documentation and specifications
  
• Provide build books/deployment guides for the deployment to higher environments
  
• Assist in change initiatives in planning for data / database design database setup migration optimization and tuning capacity planning data conversion and other development and implementation-related activities
  
• Produce data and database management project plans. Develop and obtain approval for detailed plans and resource estimates
  
• Provide specialized technical expertise in database administration data warehouse design data modeling Extraction Transformation & Load (ETL) information management BI solution design development and maintenance
  
• Provide Database (Oracle technologies & products) expertise for troubleshooting problem resolution and performance tuning of the production solutions in operation
  
• Provide professional opinions and recommendations for technical issues management briefings etc. and provide expertise offer solutions and lead implementation of approved recommendations

Public Sector Experience:

• 5 years of experience working with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers
  
• Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts (or similar) processes and practices
  
• Ability to produce technical documentation that comply with industry standard practices
  
• Knowledge and experience with Public Sector Health related projects
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Ministry policy and IT project approval processes and requirements would be an asset
  
• Experience adopting and adhering to Public Sector Unified I&IT Project Methodology Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and Public Sector Gating process and Public Sector Standard Systems Development Methodologies
  
• Experience with large complex IT Health-related projects.
  

Technical Skills:

10 years of experience in the following:

• Database administration using Oracle technologies and products including Oracle 19C Oracle on AWS RDS Oracle RAC RMAN backup/recovery Data Compression and encryption Oracle Data Guard Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle EM
  
• Experience in complex BI/DW solution design implementation maintenance and support using Oracle 19C Oracle Directory Server Informatica PowerCenter & Data Quality IBM Cognos Business Objects in a Sun Solaris/RedHat environment
  
• Superior technical expertise in: enterprise data warehouse database configuration optimization and tuning support and maintenance with Oracle database in a Sun Solaris environment for complex Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DW) solutions Bi-Directional Data Replication for Active-Active Solution Crossing Data Centers and multi-tier web-based off-the-shelf solutions tools including Oracle technologies & products (Oracle Database Active Data Guard GoldenGate etc.) Cognos Informatica PowerCenter Power exchange & Data Quality
  
• Experience with Cognos BO Informatica and LDAP servers
