Work Schedule:

Hours vary and may include day evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

Rate of Pay:

This is a Part-Time Adjunct Faculty position with the following pay rate per contact hour:

Less than MA: $1069 MA or Above: $1109

The offer will be based on education and experience in alignment with the Colleges compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) if applicable.

Job Summary:

Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the colleges strategic goals and evaluate students progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

4000 hours documented work experience in the field of Computer Aided Design and a related associate or bachelors degree.

Desired Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Prior teaching experience in the field of Computer Aided Design and a related masters degree.

Essential Duties:

Deliver Instruction
1. Conduct assigned classes and/or labs
2. Prepare lessons
3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards attendance policies classroom behavioral expectations course outline and contact information)
4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets

If a lab is involved:
5. Prepare labs
6. Enforce lab safety procedures

Evaluate Student Progress
1. Keep accurate record of student performance
2. Provide students with timely feedback

Provide Student Assistance
1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
2. Refer students to student support services
3. Accommodate special needs students

Instruction in one of several offered CAD applications (primarily AutoCAD SolidWorks CREO/ProE) and/or Technical Drawing Theory to adult learners majoring in CAD Engineering Manufacturing and related disciplines.
