What is the job about

The Circularity & Sustainability Consultant Global Sustainable Sourcing as part of the Sustainable Sourcing Team in Group Purchasing will serve as an expert in circularity and related Supplier Engagement supporting the development and execution of sustainable sourcing initiatives at a global level. The Consultant will work closely with suppliers internal stakeholders and industry partners to advance circular economy strategies and drive supplier engagement on circularity goals.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement circularity principles within the global sourcing strategy.
• Identify opportunities to enhance material circularity including recycled content reuse models and end-of-life solutions.
• Support procurement teams in integrating circularity considerations into supplier selection and contracting.
• Work closely with key suppliers to assess and improve their circularity performance.
• Lead supplier capability-building initiatives including training and workshops on recycled content reporting circular design waste reduction and material recovery as per business needs.
• Establish partnerships with external organizations and industry groups to drive innovation in sustainable sourcing and circularity.
• Develop methodologies to measure and track circularity performance across the supply chain.
• Oversee data collection and supplier assessments related to material flows waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
• Prepare reports and insights for senior management and external sustainability disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with global regulations and sustainability frameworks
• Support the integration of third-party sustainability certifications and circularity assessments in sourcing processes.
• Work with group sustainability procurement product sustainability and product development teams and other key stakeholders to align circularity goals with business objectives.
• Contribute to the development of product lifecycle strategies that enhance sustainability performance.
• Supporting additional Sustainable Sourcing-related activities as per the business needs.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Supply Chain Management Circular Economy or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in sustainability sustainable sourcing or circular economy-related roles.
• Proven expertise in circularity or other sustainability strategies and supplier engagement.
• Strong knowledge of circular economy principles material life-cycle assessment and sustainable procurement strategies.
• Proficiency in sustainability reporting tools and databases.
• Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with international sustainability and circularity standards (e.g. EU Green Deal CSRD industry-specific guidelines).
• Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and regulatory trends.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills with experience conducting training and workshops
• Flexibility to navigate complex and dynamic business environments.
• Rigorous focus on accuracy and thoroughness in processes and reporting.
