Job Summary


Be challenged and imagine with us

As Alumni Engagement Officer (Digital) you will champion the Universitys digital outreach to alumni by shaping clear engaging and timely communications across email web and social channels.

You will work closely with colleagues across Alumni Engagement Philanthropy and Marketing & Communications to deliver content that strengthens alumni connection supports key campaigns and enhances the overall digital experience for our community.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver and coordinate digital content across eNewsletters eDMs social media and the alumni website ensuring messages are timely consistent and audiencefocused.
  • Develop schedule and publish highquality stories profiles and longerform digital pieces that highlight alumni achievements and programs.
  • Monitor and analyse performance across channels using data insights to refine content guide planning and support a cohesive digital engagement strategy.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to align messaging amplify reach and uphold best practice in digital engagement.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).

The remuneration for this position isHigher Education Worker Level 5 17%superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  1. A relevant degree in communications media public relations or journalism; or at least twoyears relevant experience and some education/training.
  2. Demonstrated experience drafting and producing e-newsletters and digital content with high attention to detail for social online and print and knowledge of best practice in digital engagement (including social media) to maximise audience interaction and mitigate risk.
  3. Excellent written communications skills with a demonstrated ability to write compelling content for a variety of channels with strong project coordination skills.
  4. Sound organisational and time management skills including the demonstrated ability to use initiative to multi-task prioritise think laterally analyse data to ensure a data-driven approach to communications and problem solve with a high attention to detail.
  5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
