This is a full-time position for immediate hire and runs through next school year 2026-2027.
This position will support the afterschool program.
Tentative schedule: 9:30am - 6:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY
The Campus Monitor observes and supports students during lunch and passing breaks to ensure a safe secure and comfortable environment conducive to student interaction and learning. The Campus Monitor will also monitor students during arrival and dismissal times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
Supervise students during lunch/recess and passing periods including enforcing school rules school boundaries and school behavior expectations
Ensure a safe environment in the lunchroom school grounds and parking lot
Work with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of the lunch room school yards and parking lot
Help mediate and resolve conflicts between students
Administer first aid as needed
Manage computer logs and complete accident reports
Help keep the campus clean
Identify any major security or safety hazards and major repair needs in the recess area and ensure safety rules are followed
Stand at designated crosswalks during arrival and dismissal times to safely guide students across the street.
Utilize hand signals and traffic control devices to direct vehicle traffic and ensure student safety.
Monitor traffic flow and make immediate decisions to safely manage pedestrian crossings.
Additional:
Demonstrate knowledge of and support the Aspire Public Schools mission vision value statements including antiracism policies and procedures operating instructions confidentiality standards and the code of ethical behavior
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving ability; sound judgment
Ability to interact appropriately with children of all ages
Bilingual - Spanish and English (strongly preferred).
Computer skills
Minimum educational level:
Experience required:
Physical requirements:
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Remaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Assessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingers.
Work authorization requirements:
Clear the Department of Justice background screening
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide health (TB) clearance (most update every four years)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics are representative of those in a normal office classroom/school setting which one might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Work indoors in a standard office environment computer lab and/or classroom environment
Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments
Exposure to dust oils and cleaning chemicals
