Recruitment Number 26-045JC Assistant Facilities Manager SR-21 Honolulu Oahu.
Note: This position requires a current valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle.
Summary of Duties
Assists in planning directing and coordinating the maintenance of all Judiciary complexes within a judicial circuit including the facilities of the rural courts; assists in coordinating the custodial and groundskeeping services; and performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Specialized Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of work experience which demonstrated knowledge in one or a combination of the following types of work:
1. Facilities management.
2. Skilled trades or crafts experience in construction or maintenance projects of buildings which required the preparation and/or interpretation of plans specifications and drawings and the proper observance of safety measures practices methods techniques materials costs equipment and tools used in construction projects.
3. Procurement of a variety of supplies and equipment which included cost comparisons; and/or
4. Developing the capital improvement plans and executing the capital improvement budget for an agency.
Supervisory Aptitude: Applicants for Assistant Facilities Manager must have demonstrated evidence of Supervisory Aptitude. Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by detail to supervisory positions; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
EducationSubstitution for Experience: Successfully completed study at an accredited college or university in mechanical electrical or civil engineering or architecture may be substituted for Specialized Experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four (4) years.
Selective Certification Requirement - Drivers License: This position requires a current and valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle.
Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement (28 CFR 115.17 115.117 115.217 and 115.317):The position that you are applying for may have contact with detainees in juvenile facilities and lockups with inmates detained in a prison or jail or with residents of community confinement facilities.

d. Has been the subject of substantiated allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment or resigned during a pending investigation of alleged sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
