Job Summary
Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of the Corporate Planning Division Public Affairs Department. He/She will provide admin and logistics support for the efficient management of the departments activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and circulate daily press clippings and media coverage reports to Management
- Disseminate news releases and other communications materials
- Provide event logistical support including coordinating vendors venue and transport bookings among others
- Process and verify invoices and payments and assist with the departments annual operating budget and monthly tracking
- Provide operational support during crisis activations
- Provide HR-related administrative support for the department including preparing shift roster schedules
- Take minutes for departmental meetings
- Maintain an inventory of gifts and monitor the stock of giveaways and stored items
- Any other duties assigned by the department head or reporting officer
Requirements
- Diploma in any discipline (Mass Communications or Finance would be an advantage)
- Background in mass communications would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in finance-related matters such as budgeting and invoice processing will be an advantage
- Ability to develop multi-media communications materials such as infographics photography and videos would be an advantage
- Organised meticulous and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Team player with good interpersonal and communications skills
- Digitally savvy willing to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning and using IT software and systems
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
