Job Summary
- Prepare detailed structural drawings for bridges and transportation infrastructure (e.g. bridges culverts retaining walls and related structures.
- Produce reinforcement detailing for concrete structures including rebar layouts bending schedules and placement drawings.
- Develop steel detailing for bridge components such as girders bracing and connections.
- Interpret engineering calculations specifications and design sketches to create accurate construction drawings.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes standards and project specifications.
- Use CAD/BIM software (e.g. AutoCAD MicroStation Revit or similar tools) to prepare and update drawings.
- Review and revise drawings based on engineer comments design changes and client feedback.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings section details and construction details for transportation structures.
- Maintain organized drawing documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in resolving detailing issues during design reviews and construction stages.
- Support project delivery by meeting deadlines and maintaining high drafting quality standards.
