Reporting to the Outlet Manager responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to:
To ensure that all responsible service of alcohol procedures are practiced at all times
Greets guests and escorts them to tables
Trains and monitors Servers and ensures service standards are met
Ensures accurate recording and verification of Team Members time records
Supervises all Team Members in all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet providing the necessary assistance where required
Ensures that approved service sequences and standards are established and maintained at all times
Ensures that all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard and supervises outlet
Maintains efficient operating procedures for the outlets point of sale cashiering computer system ensuring accuracy and balancing of till and the department cash float
Maintains a high level of cleanliness and care of all equipment and materials; and ensure security of outlet
Promptly reports any maintenance work required to the Manager and or maintenance department
Maintains all outlet stock levels
Completes the Bar log book
Develops training plans and conducts on and off the job training sessions for all outlet Team Members
Attends all scheduled food and beverage and other relevant meetings when required
Monitors outlets manpower payroll budget control costs and maximize profitability
Take extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance and monitors service personnels appearance and grooming
Punctual efficient and courteous at all times with guests and fellow Team Members alike
Is aware of own work schedule and always provides adequate notice when circumstance prevent one from adhering to that schedule
Handles all guest complaints immediately courteously and satisfactorily
Greet all guests and escort them to their allocated tables when possible
Assists with conducting performance appraisals of subordinates as instructed
Supervise bar set-up cleanliness stock levels and service preparation.
Promote guest satisfaction and loyalty by providing memorable experiences.
Maintain knowledge of international drink trends and introduce innovative cocktails.
Monitor stock levels order supplies and manage supplier relationships.
Implement cost control procedures and minimize wastage.
Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure accurate stock records.
Ensure compliance with local licensing laws and hotel policies.
Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications :
Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
Minimum 35 years of experience as a Bar Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or high-end venue.
Strong knowledge of wines spirits cocktails and bar operations.
Proven track record in staff management cost control and guest satisfaction.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Creativity in beverage menu development and promotions.
Financial acumen and analytical thinking.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
