Registered Nurse Emergency Department

About the Role
Our Emergency Department provides care for approximately 40000 attendances every year. We have dedicated full patient resuscitation specialised triage rapid assessment acute sub-acute and paediatric areas. Our department carries out all acute care including full patient resuscitation facilities management of trauma fractures injuries etc. The EDs vision is to be a centre of clinical care and customer service excellence. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse wanting to develop their skills in the area of emergency department nursing. We offer a number of educational opportunities including: a comprehensive orientation programme; on-going development in emergency nursing skills e.g. Trauma Nursing Core Course Triage Course and Advanced Life Support and there are opportunities for ED specific post-graduate study via SIT. There are also ample opportunities for motivated employees to develop and further their careers within this service.
