Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic customer service representative to work in our retail store and garden centre with primary responsibilities to assist customers managing inventory and taking care of the plants.
Applicants must be available weekdays and weekends; however the schedule will be determined based on applicants availability. Students are welcome to apply.
Job Types: Full-time Part-time Permanent and Seasonal
Job Duties
- Work the storefront and welcome customers
- Perform the critical task of watering and maintaining the live stock
- Provide customers with the best service to help them around the store and find the products they need
- Inform customers about the products and how to use them
- Run cash register and POS system
- Keep store/warehouse/parking lot/garden centre clean tidy and organized
- Set up and refresh displays of seasonal product
- Prune and organize plants both indoor and outdoor
- Stock store product
- Keep overstock of inventory well organized in the warehouse
- Become knowledgeable of our other services in the company
Qualifications
- Ability to work efficiently with a team and on your own
- Willingness to learn about our wide range of products and services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a retail environment
- Experience working a cash register or POS system preferred
- Flexible availability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
