Job Description:
The Senior Principal of Space and Mission System (SMS) Project Management and Operations will be responsible for leading and managing SMSs facilities portfolio and overall operational activities. This role requires deep expertise in project strategy portfolio management project execution and operational excellence. The successful candidate will align project management and operational strategies with the companys business objectives to ensure that SMSs global projects and operations support our growth and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement a SMS real estate and operations strategy that aligns with SMSs business goals
Manage and optimize the SMS real estate portfolio including leased and owned properties
Lead key real estate transactions including acquisitions dispositions and lease negotiations
Oversee the design construction and maintenance of facilities to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and support business operations efficiently
Manage relationships with external vendors contractors and consultants
Ensure financial efficiency by controlling costs and budgets for real estate and operational activities
Collaborate with other departments to support business needs and ensure facilities and operations are equipped for current and future growth
Conduct regular audits and assessments of real estate assets and operational processes to ensure optimal utilization and performance
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness
Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Additional Skills:
5 years of experience in a leadership role
Experience in strategic planning and execution of real estate and operations strategies
Strong knowledge of global real estate markets operations management and industry trends
Excellent negotiation analytical and financial management skills
Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams
Professional certifications such as CCIM SIOR PMP or similar
Familiarity with real estate and operations technology and software tools
