As a Security Officer - 21 Patrol Rover in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a cultural institution where you will monitor galleries and public areas conduct routine foot patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will greet guests assist staff and communicate clearly while documenting observations and following site procedures. Bring teamwork and integrity to a caring agile reliable and innovative team.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout public galleries exhibit spaces offices and perimeter areas; observe for unusual activity and conditions that could impact operations.
• Monitor access points verify credentials when required and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas containing collections equipment and/or back-of-house spaces.
• Respond to incidents alarms and visitor or staff concerns in a calm problem-solving manner; request assistance from supervisors and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Document patrol activities incidents and observations in written reports and logs; communicate updates to site leadership and shift relief.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
