Roles/Responsibilities:
Task 1: Implementing new translation tool for including operationalizing and training once the new tool has been launched. This project is under the direction of the SFHSA communications director
Task 1 Deliverables:
- Be point for SFHSA Communication as a functional team member to raise all relevant communication needs and concerns with the project management team.
- Ensure an accessible smooth user experience to manage translations from within the tools parameters.
- Operationalizing the tool through implementation and launch.
- Training SFHSA Communications team on the translation tool.
Task 2: Online Resource Directory: supporting the digital launch of a directory for the Department of Disability and Aging Services that features a comprehensive interactive listing and referral of services for older adults and adults with disabilities.
Task 2 Deliverables:

- Work with cross functional team including SFHSA Communications Digital Services and the Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) staff on strategic implementation of the digital launch of the directory.
- This includes:
- Updating content pages.
- Ensuring a smooth user experience to the directory pages.
- Monitoring web traffic to inform future improvements.
- Ensuring translated content is working properly.
Task 3: Content manager and strategist for and intranet under the direction of the communications director and senior communications manager.
Task 3 Deliverables:

- Update content under the direction of the Communications Director and Senior Communication Manager on and intranet.
- Review and approve content author update and approve publishing on and intranet.
- Troubleshoot content issues on and intranet such as broken links inadequate translations and outdated PDFs.
- Ensure all new and updated webpage content is translated.
Mandatory Skills:
- MQ1: Must have proven experience in content management systems particularly in Drupal. This includes experience managing and maintaining Drupal websites with demonstrated understanding of basic site configuration content types governing and publishing workflows user roles and permissions web performance optimization basics UX/UI and SEO best practices and knowledge of accessibility standards.
Acceptable documentation includes:
Resume detailing relevant experience including Drupal versions used and scope of
responsibility.
Portfolio or Work Samples including:
o Links to Drupal websites the candidate has worked on or managed
o Description of the candidates specific role on each site
o Examples of content strategy information architecture web governance framework and/or site audit or optimization work
Example of a web strategy document (may be redacted) a UX recommendation brief roadmap document example of a governance framework or a roadmap document.
Proof of certifications if applicable.
- MQ2: Strong proven experience in copywriting for websites.
Acceptable documentation includes:
Portfolio of work samples including web pages web architecture documents etc. with before and after copywriting examples if possible.
- MQ3: Deep understanding in user experience and website metrics.
Acceptable documentation includes:
Resume that documents experience with UX strategy and website analytics including tools used scope of responsibility and measurable outcomes where UX and analytics informed decisions.
One work sample (may contain redactions) that demonstrates analysis of website metrics and/or user experience findings including recommendations informed by data.
Optional documentation (preferred not required): o UX certification o Drupal UX-related contributions o Google Analytics certification o Accessibility training (WCAG 2.1/2.2)
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience in the role as web content manager and web editor with strong copywriting skills focused on accessibility cultural competency and user experience.
- Experience working in the Drupal content management system.
- Excellent creative and visual skills. Proficiency with digital photography videography and related digital tools strongly desired.
- Knowledge of UX principles to achieve functional service-oriented and attractive digital environments for users to explore and quickly find what they are looking for.
- Experience using an agile or other iterative approach to design develop and deploy websites.
- Direct experience in communications project management: vendor selection exceptional organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects (timelines budgets priorities) simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Digital Accessibility standards and implementation tools.
- Excellent relationship and consensus building skills.
- Knowledge of San Franciscos diverse communities and how audiences access information digitally.
